Training compensations
Training compensations shall be paid to a player's training club when the player signs his first professional contract with another club and on each further international transfer until the end of the football season of his 23rd birthday (Annexe 4 of FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players).
Solidarity contributions
If a professional football player is transferred to another association before the expiry of his contract, any club that has contributed to his education and training shall receive a proportion of the compensation paid to his former club (Annexe 5 of FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players).
Variable clauses
Variable clauses are negotiated individually and usually included in transfer and loan contracts when a footballer moves between any two clubs. The payment of variable fees is effective when specific future conditions are met, like a number of played games, number of scored goals, or a championship win.
